My mum has lots of cousins but Eleanor was always special. We didn't see her often but we were always kept up to date with her adventures via her close written letters and postcards. When we did see her, she would tell us tales of her travels, which as a young child made me aware of places on the world map that I had not previously heard of and which afterwards became real through her descriptions and tales. In person she was kind to us all and when I had my own children she made the drive to Kent to bring Auntie Olive over to meet them, precious memories.... And I have a very fond memory which I probably shouldn't repeat here about one of her long journeys in this country!! A full life well lived, how many of us can say that? Love to all of her close family from Fran and Roy Raven and family x
